Matthew intends to attend other courses with METaL with a view to using the Credit Qualifications gained to potentially go on to further academic studies.

Matthew said, “I am very fortunate to work for a progressive company like Eden UK. They understand the value that training brings, not only to the wider business, but also to the individual. My role has expanded over recent years and I have found the training offered by the Metal project invaluable in my personal development and in playing an active role within Eden. Since doing the courses, I have a better understanding of the weight loading I do here at Eden as well as material Metallurgy and we are currently looking at alternative materials mainly for cost saving applications.

I found the METaL courses invaluable and the knowledge and support within the METaL Project team is second to none. I would really recommend the training they have on offer.”

Dr. Khalil Khan, Project Manager, for the Metal project said,” Matthew is a great example of an individual who is very keen to learn and develop new skills. By taking the skills highlighted on our courses back to the workplace it can create improvements to work practices and potentially cost savings. We look forward to welcoming Matthew back for further courses and continuing his learning journey”
